Here's a diary on the rec list that seems little different in length or purpose than this one. I scrolled down looking for you calling it bullshit too, but didn't see it.
In fact, this diary is the same as many posted on the front which are there simply to inform -- or sometimes disinform. Since neither you nor anyone else has found fault with the facts in this one or noted any omission of facts, this diary is in the former category.

I just read a great diary about the great Democratic win in LA. It was turned into a slugfest about whether Clinton or Obama had the bigger coattails, if either actually had them at all. It turned it into a type of trash talking smackdown occasion.
Very impressive pick up of delegates for Obama. Good luck to Senator Obama. And Good luck to Senator Clinton. This is one of the few places left in the blogosphere where people are not censored for posting pro-Obama or pro-Clinton posts, let alone offer diaries. It also has to be a place where people can also offer what you deem to be Obama hit diaries. Others obviously don't consider them troll rateable. Or at least they aren't troll rating any posts on them. Hill's Gas tax debacle made him angry and Bitter, and he's left clinging to his Hillary.
Super what? Hillary won Pennsylvania by 9, and that's all about all she did lately. Supers have continued to gravitate toward Obama regardless of PA. Over the next few contests its a wash, with neither candidate distancing themselves from the other. It's all about the supers now, and with each passing day, the supers are distancing themselves from Hillary.
And just because you don't like the news, doesn't mean it's garbage. But I can empathize, since I throw things at my TV sometimes too.

If she wants to win she's got to get 60% of the remaining pledged delegates AND 59% of the remaining superdelegates. Anything less than a 20 point win in any election from here on out makes her task all the more difficult.

A 5-1 rate is a pretty big ratio, especially when Hillary is premising her ability to win on SDs.

The sad fact of the matter is that the super-delegates may swing to him. I don't think it is not newsworthy that he keeps getting their endorsements. Actually, I think it should be newsworthy because they are doing so as they observe the very same evidence we see that prove this man is unelectable.
He, quite simply, will never be president. I can only thank the Lord in heaven that it was Hillary Clinton that was his opponent in this race. That way, we at least have an option. Perhaps she pulls it out in the remaining contest and gets MI and FL seated.

The very sad reality is that the Democratic Party is famous for committing suicide. The Republicans, with all their flaws, love and know how to win. We like to live fantasies and make arguments and points and congratulate ourselves and then play the victim when the train plows right over us.

You all hate Clinton's gas tax holiday. That's fine. I honestly think that if anyone wanted to do something about gas prices, they'd introduce legislation that would cap gas prices. I mean, the government controls the price of milk, right? Why not gas? Bill O'Rielly and the rest will call it communist, but anyone who did such a thing would be guaranteed 8 years in the WH.
But the fact that Clinton is taking this legislation to the Senate and out-right daring them to defy her, that can only mean one thing: her pollsters and focus groups tell her campaign that they have a winner.
Now, you have Obama saying he opposes it. He explains why, in articulate and correct terms. However, I can't get out of my head Walter Mondale in a debate against Reagan. He had the balls to say "My opponent won't tell you the truth, he won't admit that he'll raise your taxes, but i'll tell you the truth." He died an inglorious death in that election; a loss of epic purportions. Reagan, yes, did end up raising taxes and Mondale can have prediction noted in his obituary.

HOWEVER, I don't they we will lose them. There is no doubt in my mind that if HRC manages to get the nomination that he won't be on the ticket. He will be. Anyone who has a shred of understanding of US history will know that, more often than not, Pres/VP tickets are of forced political necessity.
Kennedy and Johnson absolutely HATED each other. Yet, they were battling in a primary and Kennedy knew he couldn't win the election without Johnson, who was perhaps the most powerful man in Washington at the time.
So, make no mistake. This will be a split ticket. It is a matter of who will be on top and that will make all the difference in terms of our viability.
If you Clinton supporters keep making the condescending kinds of statements you keep making they very well may stay home rather than vote for Clinton. She may need to have him as VP if she gets the nomination, but there's no guarantee that he'll accept it. He's young and has time to try again. I very much doubt that she will be his choice. Given the fact that they have been the greatest supporters of Democrats in recent elections, we will definitely need their votes this year. If they stay home there is a very good possibility that we will lose.
Democrats won Pennsylvania by 2.5% of the vote in '04 African Americans make up 10.7% of Pennsylvania's population.
Democrats won New Jersey by 6.68%, African Americans make up 14.5% of NJ's population.
Democrats won Deleware by 7.6% of the vote, African Americans are 20.9% of Deleware's population.
Democrats won Wisconsin by 0.38% of the vote, African Americans make up 6% of Wisconsin's population.
Even when you consider the fact that not everyone votes, and that some African Americans vote for Republicans, I would bet that in many of these states the percent of Democratic voters who were African American was greater than the vote differential between Kerry and Bush. It's not a good idea to piss off a block of voters who routinely vote for our party when they have the population numbers to make the difference.

Well, certainly, I'm sure Obama has dealt with adversity in his life regarding his race. He certainly didn't do it publicly when I was growing up, so for that reason is not one of my heros. I was 13 when HRC was standing up to the same people who were condeming me for being gay.
However, I don't think any straight white man has dealt with the kind of adversity I'm talking of. Perhaps a Jewish guy.

Now, many of you will say that Hillary has her own baggage. Yet, as she has said, her baggage has been gone through for years. The GOP in Washington spent $40 million investigating this woman. Anything they bring up again is non-news. The only thing newsworthy that would come out of such an event would be Clinton's comeback, which would certainly bring up her husband's impeachment (which was wildly unpopular).
As much as you people dream and have passion, the American public is dumb dumb dumb. And as much as they are religous and homophobic, they are racist. When you are a minority like that, whey your mere presence makes people uneasy, any excuse given will be enough for those people to not support you.
I just can't say it any other way: Obama has the stink of loser all over him. When he was winning big earlier, amassing a grand coalition of conservative, moderate, and liberal Democrats, he, quite simply, was not the black candidate. He was "transcending race", as his own campaign liked to push it. Yet, things have changed and the racial divide is very much a part of this election.

Finally, on the late fall suprise: Hillary's going to have to testify in a civil trial on illegal campaign activities in 2000 in November of this year. That's got to be helpful to Republican communications operatives. Also, Clinton supporters seem to forget that there has been 10 years since impeachment. In that time, there have questionable donations to the Clinton foundation (from foreign nationals and either pardon recipents or family members of pardon recipents). There has also been in those ten years a convicted fugitive fundraiser Mr. Norman Hsu that has been a prominent element of the Clinton fundraising machinery. I don't think she did anything wrong in those situations (like before and like with Obama), but she's not vetted. It's just become less a subject of national debate since she was "one of a 100."
HRC is not our only chance. She's just a chance and b/c she's the loser of the primary contest, why don't we go with the winner?

Or it could mean that they were tone deaf to the fact that there is no support in the Senate for such legislation and they will defy her. I know that most politicians think their constituency is comprised of imbeciles, and pollsters and focus groups might lend support to this notion, but this is pure political pandering and you know it, and that is why Hillary and McCain are getting called out on it. This one is DOA.
Please, then, do ever political consultant a favor and NEVER run for office.

I just did. Your idea of a price cap on gas will not work here, because it ignores the oil market speculation causing the crude price increases. A better step would be to regulate that. Price caps are useful when they can tie down gouging to costs, but here, costs are high in the market, so it's not simple opportunism.
