Obama has stuck up for Native American voting rights in holding up the FEC nomination of Hans von Spakovsky, even defying Bush by maintaining the block through an election year.

Von Spakovsky is against tribal reservation photo IDs being legitimate in polling places outside of the reservation they're issued in; this effectively disenfranchises many Native Americans who need to work and live outside the reservation in order to make ends meet.

I'm very proud of Obama's record on Native American issues, and I think, as president, he'll make some progress towards reconciliation... maybe tribes will stop wanting to secede from the union...

I like that SDs from strong HRC states (none / 0)

are going Obama.  It makes the argument that they should operate independently.
